A Medical Education Program Second To None In The West

College Medical Center is the new owner of the oldest osteopathic postgraduate training program in California, under the supervision and management of American Family Care Health Management/Molina Healthcare. We currently offer residencies in, family medicine, internal medicine, dermatology, and a one year traditional internship.

Our residencies provides the necessary resources for a broad-based clinical training for future ambulatory care clinicians, internists and hospitalist internists, with an emphasis on providing comprehensive medical care to serve socioeconomically, ethnically and clinically diverse patients.

Lastly, at College Medical Center, we take pride in our hospital and believe you will enjoy the warmth of our beautiful city and value forever the professionalism of our program.

THE ROLE OF MEDICAL EDUCATION

The role of College Medical Center Osteopathic Graduate Medical Education Department is to provide an exceptional arena by which newly graduated physicians become competent licensed physicians. We are committed to a solid education and providing our residents with the tools and knowledge to become well-rounded, compassionate practitioners.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission and priority is molding physicians of excellence. We strive to meet and exceed all standard teaching requirements through professional demeanor, personal integrity, medical expertise, teamwork, and excellent communications.

THE HALMARK OF COLLEGE MEDICAL CENTER

In addition to our outstanding faculty of salaried and volunteer physicians, what sets College Medical Center apart is our Resident operated Family Health Clinic which is located across the street from our primary hospital.

This clinic is fully supervised and an ambulatory clinic with our residents working in partnership with the patient’s primary care physician. The continuity of care between the residents and their patients extends in the inpatient setting, and competently prepares our residents for life after residency.

In addition, one day a week in the clinic, our residents meet with an Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) attending. Our goal is to expand evaluation and treatment to encompass the patient’s medical as well as musculoskeletal diagnosis.
